Can a court in Israel contribute anything to proceedings held abroad under the Hague Convention for the return of an abducted child ?

Yes. Under article 15 of the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction a decision or legal finding may be given in the requesting state concerning whether it was the country of habitual residence, and whether the removal/retention was wrongful i.e. constituted “an act of abduction” within the meaning of article 3 .
