I have filed Hague convention proceedings at the Family Court in Israel, against my wife who has abducted our two minor children (aged 10 and 13), from New York to Haifa. will the fact that I am taking medicines for anxiety hinder my case?
By: דיאנה שאלתיאל•Published on: 23 February, 2025No! in a similar case, the District Court in Lod (2nd instance) dismissed the mother’s claim that returning her minor daughter (she abducted to Israel), would put the child in “grave risk” because the father is taking “drugs”. The Court there, ruled, on October 10th 2024, that the fact that the father is not taking drugs or psychiatric medicines, but is taking medicines against anxiety and painkillers, which do not constitute a risk for the abducted daughter and rejected the mother’s argument (case # 2298-10-24).
