Although in theory child maintenance is largely set according to the minors’ needs, and set criteria, which place the sole burden on the father until the child is 15 in accordance with Jewish law, a court will not ignore the fact that a father is well established, and earns a high salary, and is likely to be generous in the sum it sets.
